Welcome to the Daily Chronology of Global Markets and World Economics

Keystone the Scribe™ hunches over the cold marble desk toiling diligently to record this history of current market events; the Daily Chronology of Global Markets and World Economics. There is no other timeline that explains the movement in markets as it relates to the global information flow in real-time.

Keystone's daily chronology is important for money managers, novice and professional traders, fundamental and technical analysts, teachers, students, economists, investment advisers, strategists, journalists, historians, stock market enthusiasts, futurists, independent thinkers and truth seekers.

The base criteria for the chronology is that the news event must affect markets. For example, Obamacare is directly affecting hospital stocks, medical device companies and insurers. The Middle East turmoil impacts oil prices. Economic data releases such as the Monthly Jobs Report Friday in the States will move markets. The chronology of events provides insight into the market psyche at that exact moment in time. The four major market indexes are referenced daily; SPX (S&P 500 the best broad market measure), Dow Jones Industrials Average (the Dow which is the 30 large blue-chip dividend stocks that the general public recognizes), Nasdaq (weighted towards the tech and IPO side) and RUT (Russell 2000 small caps). This provides a great cross section of the broad market, big cap, tech and small caps. Typically, tech and small caps will lead the markets. The ticker symbols are $SPX, $INDU, $COMPQ and $RUT, respectively.

Most folks cannot remember what they had for dinner last evening let alone remember how markets reacted to a specific event. Those that do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it. Well, now, you can reference Keystone the Scribe™ and the Daily Chronology of Global Markets and World Economics to refresh your memory about past market events. The site also provides the future events that will impact markets moving forward.
