Asian investors prepare for a new week of trading ahead. Aussie markets are closed due to the Queen’s Holiday. Japan and Korea trading begins at 9 AM local time (8 PM EST Sunday evening in the States). At 7 PM EST Sunday evening, US futures are flat. S&P -1. Dow +5. Nasdaq -1. Euro 1.1108. Dollar/yen 125.66.  Pound 1.5269. Aussie dollar 0.7623.

US Treasury yields are; 2-year 0.71%, 5-year 1.74%, 10-year 2.41%, 30-year 3.11%. The 2-10 spread is 170 bips. German bund 0.851%. Japan 10-year yield 0.512%.

ISIS militants kidnap 88 Christians that were migrating from Eritrea to Europe via Libya. Eritrea is located between Sudan and Ethiopia in eastern Africa on the Red Sea. Fears increase that the nutcase Islamist radicals will execute the Christians. The Islamic State-imposed Holy War pitting Muslims against Christians and Jews around the world continues.
