The Hong Kong demonstrations turn violent with police using
tear gas and batons to disperse the crowd. Hong Kong and Chinese officials say
the demonstrations are illegal. The mainly student demonstrators don gas masks
and goggles preparing for the police aggression. Today is the first time tear
gas is used on a crowd in Hong Kong in nine years.
