Today is Cyber Monday the largest online shopping day of the entire year. Employees will be on the internet ordering holiday gifts when the boss is not looking. Cyber Monday is expected to blow through prior records and produce the largest online shopping day in economic history.

The Cyber Monday retail sales are estimated at $6.59 billion a hair short of the $6.60 billion and more that was expected. Perhaps some online sales were pulled forward to Thanksgiving and Black Friday weekend. Nonetheless it is a huge number but is dwarfed by the $25.3 billion in sales on China’s Single’s Day.
