High-yield bonds have taken a beating over the last month as evidenced by HYG and JNK but the charts recover one-half the recent losses late last week. LQD exhibits the same behavior a drop this month but quick recovery. Seasoned trades are likely moving money from high-yield (HY) to investment-grade (IG) bonds. The HYG and JNK charts will tell a lot about the direction of the US stock market going forward. The credit markets are always key.
