THURSDAY 11/23/17; Thanksgiving Day; US Markets Closed; Chinese Stocks Collapse Nearly -3%; European PMI’s; ECB Minutes; Ethereum Prints Record High

Happy Thanksgiving a day to give thanks for the blessing of the Fall harvest. Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States, Canada, Caribbean islands and Liberia. The turkeys do not have a chance today. 46 million turkeys will be eaten in the United States over the next 24 hours. Turkeys are running for their lives.

At 11:30 AM EST, European indexes end the day higher except for Germany and the Nordic states. The UK is flat. France and Italy lead the upside. The DAX drops -0.1% to 13009 maintaining the 13K level. The CAC gains +0.5% to 5380. The FTSE is flat at 7417. Italy’s MIB finishes up +0.4% to 22398. The IBEX gains +0.2% to 10033. The PSI ends up +0.1% to 5310. SMI gains +0.3%. OMX loses -0.3%.
