Southwest Airlines is hit with a major nationwide outage. A computer glitch triggers a system meltdown. At 10 AM EST, passengers are issued hand written boarding passes. By 1:30 PM EST, more than 450 flights are cancelled. Long lines stretch outside airport terminals. Southwest employees cannot help customers manually since the computer systems are down. LUV may not see any love tomorrow in active trading.

In a previously taped “60 Minutes” television show interview Sunday evening, President Obama defends his foreign policy (or lack thereof) in the Middle East. The president repeats the mantra that Russia is active in Syria as an act of desperation and Putin is acting out of weakness. Very few are buying this line. President Obama said the same thing when President Putin invaded and took over Crimea three years ago and now Russia expands its presence in the Middle East.

President Obama performs a song and dance around questions and is unable to communicate a coherent foreign policy in the Middle East; the president is reacting to events abroad in a crisis management position. The president does not create confidence and instead appears very confused and weak. His arguments explaining the current messes in the Middle East and elsewhere are unconvincing. President Obama boasts that if he was allowed to run for president again he would easily win.
